Meet the Wandering Minstrels!

Meet the Wandering Minstrels!

Manitoban musicians will be wandering the campgrounds and festival site to bring music to every corner of Folk Fest! They’ll be inspiring acoustic jams in the Festival Campground, so campers: bring your instruments to join along.

Double Trouble
They’re two 10-year-old twins and incredible Métis fiddlers. You are going to want to stumble across these prodigies at Folk Fest!

The Royal Canadian Navy Band of the HMCS Chippawa
The only thing more epic than the name of this band is the way they sound. This seven-piece Dixieland band is sure to get your feet stompin’.

L'ensemble Musical Pierre Freynet
A local francophone group that includes everyone’s favourite – the accordion! You can say you heard them at the festival first.

The Keyhole Peepers
Former Young Performer, Carly Dow, is a familiar face in The Folk Exchange. Her band mates Jesse Matas and Matt Foster are members of the Crooked Brothers who performed at Folk Fest in 2011.

A four-piece ensemble made up of some of Winnipeg's best Latin artists. You may remember one of them – Scott Senior, who played our Folk Folk stages with Trio Bembe in 2010.

Woodshed Havoc
Some folks are involved with the festival in so many ways! This local roots and blues act includes two members who are long-time Site Crew – the group who set up everything you see at the festival.

Andrew Neville
Andrew Neville hardly needs an introduction. He’s a long-time staple in all the down-and-dirty bars in Winnipeg. He’s bringing his guitar and is ready to get rowdy.
