Thank You Volunteers

Thank You Volunteers

Every year when you pull up on Festival Drive, get your gear situated in the campground, walk for the first time down the path to the festival, take a minute to think about all the incredible volunteers that help get us all to those special moments.

Volunteers have woken up with the sun and weathered many storms. They make sure the shows are on time, keep the festival a safe place for everyone, stock those port-a-potties so you’re not left hanging, keep everyone informed and so much more. And they try their darnedest to make sure everyone is smiling all weekend!

It seems that we can never truly say enough about the amazing people that help make the best weekend of summer possible. Volunteers make the Winnipeg Folk Festival great and we are forever grateful that our festival is created and supported by people that have a true love of music and, most importantly, people.

And to our volunteers, thank you. Each and every one of you are an important piece in our Winnipeg Folk Fest puzzle.

Show your appreciation by writing a note on our Volunteer Wall of Love! The interactive mural was created by artist Kal Barteski and is located on the path to Shady Grove.

Milestone Recognitions

Dedication is one of the first words that come to mind when we think of our volunteers and because of that dedication we have created long-standing relationships with so many volunteers. We are thrilled when the same wonderful people show up year after year to help us prepare for this special weekend. In 44 years, a lot changes and these long-standing volunteers have seen it all and adapted when it was necessary. We are endlessly humbled by their choice to remain a part of the Folk Fest family for so many years and, to show our love, we recognize the latest group of 20, 30 and 40-year volunteers.
