The Gnomish Kingdom at Folk Fest
You’ve spent your days in the elements and nights hanging out by campfires and you may, at some point, wonder if those few hours in your sleeping bag are enough to recover from the glorious festival and all its revelry. And then you see a lost gnome along your path.
Is it real? Do you need to take a trip to the first aid tent for heat stroke?
Keep your faculties about you, friends. You may have just stumbled upon a lost gnome from the Gnome Kingdom! Scoop this sprite up and return him to his home in the centre of the Labrynth and you may be granted one wish from the Gnomish King.
Mandel Hitzer and Steph Porrior are teaming up to bring Spirits of Nature to the festival. Manitobans will be familiar with Mandel’s popular winter creation, RAW: almond, a pop-up restaurant on the frozen river at the Forks.
What better place for creatures from folklore to come to life than the Winnipeg Folk Fest? Through the Prairie Outdoor Exhibition, all festival-goers have the opportunity to experience visual art exhibitions created by professional artists. You will find the various creations throughout the festival, with nature as the gallery.
