Guest For A Day

The Winnipeg Folk Festival is a four-day adventure in music and discovery that happens every July in Manitoba’s Bird’s Hill Provincial Park.

Each year, we invite not-for-profit community groups to be part of the Guest for a Day (GFAD) program. The program is designed for people who may not otherwise be able to attend our beloved festival that has become an annual tradition for families and friends. GFAD participants are invited to take in the sights, sounds and tastes of the festival with a seasoned folkie as a guide.

New this year: In order to best serve all guests, every group will have a volunteer guide to show them around and answer questions for the duration of their stay.

We give complimentary tickets to 30 community groups so they may experience the festival’s amazing music and community! We strive to support a variety of groups and preference will be given to groups that have not participated before.

Applications for the 2017 festival will open in January 2017!
